Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has reacted following the passing of Ifeanyi, the three-year-old son of Nigerian music sensation Davido.
The police command in Lagos is trying to unravel the misery behind the death of the son of the Afro-pop star, whose real name is David Adeleke.
Eight people were arrested and questioned about the tragic incident, with multiple reports claiming the child drowned in a pool in their home on Banana Island, Lagos.
It is believed that Ifeanyi was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Vanguard reports that the Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin said investigations are underway:
“It is true, the child is dead. About eight people were brought in for questioning and we are investigating the matter. Anyone found culpable in the death of the child would be arrested."
Fans have continued to express grief while condolence messages are being sent to the Dami Duro crooner.
In his reaction, Togolese footballer Adebayor described the incident as beyond heartbreaking. The former Manchester City star wrote on his Instagram story:
"My thoughts and prayers are with Davido and his family. I pray God to give them the fortitude to bear this huge loss. This is beyond heartbreaking."
Nigerian coach consoles with Davido
Meanwhile, Nigerian coach Folabi Ojekunle has expressed shock and sadness over the untimely death of Davido's son Ifeanyi, who reportedly drowned in a swimming pool in Lagos.

RugbyOjekunle offered his condolences to Davido, adding that he would try to visit the famous Nigerian singer at his house.
''It is sad to lose a child, and this is a bad and most difficult period in the life of not only Davido, but all parents anywhere in the world."

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian music act Davido featured in the first official 2022 Fifa World Cup single Hayya Hayya (Better Together) alongside Qatari sensation Aisha.
The World Cup takes place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18. However, the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify as Davido’s home country misses out.
Having played a 0-0 draw with Ghana in the first leg of their play-off, the Black Stars held the Super Eagles to a 1-1 draw in Nigeria to go through to the competition.
