Eden Hazard has suffered a fresh injury setback and is reportedly out of the Real Madrid UEFA Champions League squad for their tie against Celtic on Wednesday.
The Belgium international has struggled to replicate his best form and fitness at the Santiago Bernabeu since making a big-money move from Chelsea in 2019.
The 30-year-old has played just 98 minutes of La Liga competition this season after finding himself stuck behind the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.
According to Marca journalist José Luis Sánchez, via Madrid Zone, Hazard is suffering from muscle discomfort and has been ruled out of tomorrow's game against Celtic.

The former Chelsea star has continually been frustrated with injuries and lost large portions of last season through injury and has faced a frustrating start to this campaign.

Hazard is best known for his exploits at Chelsea. He won two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and EFL Cup during a seven-year spell at Stamford Bridge. In terms of goals, he found the back of the net 110 times in 352 appearances.

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard was booed off by Real Madrid supporters in Los Blancos’ Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk, after another lacklustre performance, The Sun reports.
Real Madrid supporters jeered the former Chelsea star after he gave the ball away multiple times, before being substituted in the 57th minute by Carlo Ancelotti.
Hazard has started only one of Real Madrid’s La Liga games this season and has made just 3 appearances for the Spanish champions in the league.
Hazard frustrated with game time
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Eden Hazard is presently not happy with his predicament at Real Madrid, as the Belgian winger has struggled for game time under manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The 31-year-old has had just two starts this season and has found the net once in four appearances for the Spanish and European champions.
Hazard described his situation at Real Madrid as delicate and opened up on his wishes to get more game time.
