The 37-year-old still remains a vital player under Carlo Ancelotti, winning the Champions League and LaLiga last season, even though he is in the twilight years of his illustrious career.
In the current campaign, the Croatia captain has often received standing ovations from the spectators irrespective of which stadium he is playing at.

The current Vissel Kobe star discussed the similarities between himself and Modric, via Madrid Universal.

Iniesta thinking about Barcelona return
Meanwhile, Andres Iniesta has reiterated his desire to one day return to Barcelona in some official capacity when he finally retires from football, SB Nation reports.
