Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has reached out to a Nigerian child named Christian, who is currently suffering from bone marrow disease and is on admission to hospital in Italy.
Osimhen, who is the man of the moment in the Serie A, made a video call with Christian and his family and offered a message of support for his fellow countryman.
According to the video Nigerian sports reporter, Oma Akatugba shared on Twitter, Osimhen was seen urging Christian to be strong as he prayed for quick healing for the young boy.
Seeing Osimhen on the video call, Christian was emotional and brought to tears as he thanked the Napoli striker for reaching out to him.

He then begged Osimhen and other Nigerians to continue praying for him so that he could return back home alive.

''Thank you Victor, for calling and supporting me and my family. I am so grateful for this gesture from you and I can just hope that I will get out of this as soon as possible.''
Christian's mother also thanked the star for his support.
''Thank you Osimhen for reaching out to my son and for your support. He had no symptoms of anything; he only complained of body pain and when we got to the hospital and after tests, we got to know the problem.''
