Bayern Munich wonderkid Jamal Musiala has revealed he idolises Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi, despite admitting his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Bayern prospect has been a revelation this season, scoring nine goals while topping up with eight assists in 16 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarians.

He recently missed out on the Kopa Trophy to Barcelona prodigy Gavi at the 66th edition of the Ballon d'Or ceremony, held at the Theatre du Chatelet on October 17.

The 19-year-old fleet-footed attacker shared his opinion on the never-ending debate of who is the GOAT between Messi and fierce rival Cristiano Ronaldo. Musiala admitted that even though he adores the Man United superstar, he belongs to the ‘Team Messi’ camp.

“El Clasico between Cristiano’s Madrid and Messi’s Barcelona used to be crazy. Despite my admiration for Cristiano, I am from Team Messi [laughs],” Musiala said as quoted by Barca Universal.

The German wonderkid then admitted to idolising Messi, as he added: “Messi, he scored many goals and won titles and never changed. He remained faithful to his principles; I want to continue on the same path.”
