A video has emerged on social media where President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique was spotted falling on the ground after kicking the ball during the opening match of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
The 2022 edition of Beach Soccer Africa started on Friday, 21 October, at Vilankulo Arena, with hosts Mozambique recording a 4-2 victory over Malawi in the group A opener.
Interestingly, Mozambique also made their debut in the 2022 Beach Soccer competition.
Senegal are the defending champions of Africa in beach soccer and they will want to triumph again in this championship.

According to a video spotted on Twitter, President Nyusi was invited to kick start this year's edition of the beach soccer, which he agreed to do.
After kicking the ball on the sand, the 63-year-old fell down before his aides rushed to pull him up from the ground.

When did Nyusi became President?
Nyusi is a Mozambican politician serving as the fourth President of Mozambique since 2015.
He is the current leader of FRELIMO, the party that has governed Mozambique since its independence from Portugal in 1975.
