Liverpool can't afford to focus only on hotshot Haaland: Klopp
FootballKevin De Bruyne Makes Comparisons Between Erling Haaland and Former Manchester City Striker Gabriel Jesus
- Manchester City's midfielder Kevin De Bruyne believes the only major difference between Erling Haaland and Gabriel Jesus is the positions they play
- Haaland joined Manchester City and has since been used as an out-and-out striker by Pep Guardiola
- Jesus was rarely deployed as a number 9, with the striker often shining for City from the wings
Kevin De Bruyne has come out to highlight the differences between Erling Haaland and former Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
Haaland was signed by Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund last season, while Jesus left for Arsenal.
Both of them have begun life well at their new clubs, with Haaland being the standout performer. The Norwegian is already up to 17 goals in the Premier League, with barely half of the season played yet.
Jesus has settled at Arsenal
Meanwhile, at the Emirates, Jesus has breathed a new sense of life into Mikel Arteta's side, with the Brazilian chipping in with five goals and four assists as Arsenal lead the standings.

Having played with both of them, De Bruyne has now opined that there is not much difference between the two strikers, but appeared to lean towards Haaland's side.
As MEN reports, the Belgian playmaker highlighted the position the two strikers play on the pitch as the only difference.
"I don’t think it is really different, I think it is just different players. We have played with a false nine, but we have also played with Gabriel Jesus up front or with Raheem. So, it is maybe not the same as Erling."
"But if you see Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal, he is a real number nine. It depends on the games and now we play with a real out-and-out striker."
De Bruyne scored a stunner in Manchester City's game against Brighton over the weekend to take his tally to two goals and nine assists for the season.

FootballDe Bruyne is yet to hit top form this season
Despite these figures however, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has claimed that Kevin De Bruyne is yet to hit his best form this season.
Sports Brief reported that Guardiola made the comment after the midfielder scored an absolute worldie against Brighton and Hove Albion on October 22.
City won the game 3-1, with the De Bruyne's strike adding to Erling Haaland's first-half brace. Leandro Trossard pulled one back for the Seagulls as City went back to winning ways, after going down to Liverpool last weekend.
