Percy Tau is back on the football pitch after a lengthy absence.

The 28-year-old had been out injured since August after pulling a hamstring, before turning out in a friendly match between Al Ahly's first team and youth players yesterday.

According to Kick Off, Tau could be up for selection ahead of Sunday's Egyptian Premier League against Aswan, though realistically, the Super Cup clash against Zamalek next week against arch-rivals Zamalek is the more likely.

New coach Marcel Koller is believed to be keen on his services despite initial reports that he might have been on the way out of the club during the transfer window.
