  • Pep Guardiola continued to pay the heavy price of being famous after he was stuck in an elevator with fans
  • The fans' action of recording the Manchester City boss while giggling made the moment awkward for the revered manager
  • This is not the first time that the 51-year-old has been caught in uncomfortable situations with fans

Pep Guardiola had an uncomfortable moment when he ran into some of his fans in a lift in Manchester.

Given the impressive CV that precedes him, Guardiola is pretty famous and would be recognised easily in public spaces.

For a coach who is always barking instructions to his players or remonstrating with referees on the touchline however, Guardiola appeared shy.

In the Tiktok video, the Manchester City boss was visibly uncomfortable with the fans who were making giggling noises.

He looks at them, then heads towards the elevator door and places his head on it. His body language depicts someone who just wants to get out of that place.

As soon as the elevator door opens, Guardiola steps out to end his misery. The former Barcelona head coach was wearing one of his famous 'Mcdr' sweaters.

When the video was filmed is unknown.

City are currently preparing to face Brighton & Hove Albion over the weekend, as they look to bounce back from their first loss of the season at the hands of Liverpool last weekend.

Fan chases down Pep Guardiola

This is not the first time Guardiola has been caught in uncomfortable situations. Sports Brief had earlier reported that a video of Pep Guardiola being chased down by a desperate fan had taken social media by storm.

Guardiola is back in Manchester, weeks after guiding his team to a famous second Premier League title in a row, and is now gearing up for the new season.

The Spaniard seemingly wasted little time in getting back to his routine in the North West, which includes bike rides in Manchester. During one of his cycles over the weekend, Guardiola was spotted by a fan who was a bit too eager to meet the title-winning tactician.
