Karim Benzema marked his Ballon d'Or success with a goal as Real Madrid thrashed lowly-placed Elche on Wednesday night.
Benzema found the back of the net on three occasions, however two were ruled out for offside as Los Blancos continued their unbeaten start to the season.
The 34-year-old broke the game's deadlock after just six minutes, but his celebration was shortlived with the VAR ruling his goal out for offside.

However, Benzema will be third-time lucky when he caressed the ball into the net after a neat exchange with Rodrygo.
His goal caps off a great week which saw him become the fifth Frenchman to win the Ballon d'Or prize since Zinedine Zidane, who won the prestigious award in 1998, Republic World reports.
