Manchester United legend Michael Carrick is set to become Middlesbrough manager after the former midfielder agrees to terms with the Championship club.
Carrick has tasted management before, albeit in an interim capacity, but it seems he is expected to get his first full head coaching job.
The former England international retired in 2018 and went straight to United's coaching staff under Jose Mourinho and later Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Furthermore, Carrick took over as interim manager when the Norwegian was fired in November last year, guiding the Red Devils in three matches, going unbeaten versus Villareal, Chelsea, and Arsenal, according to the BBC.
