  • Cristiano Ronaldo made a grand arrival for Manchester United's first-team training earlier in the week
  • The 37-year-old pulled up at the Carrington training base in the company of two bodyguards to ensure his safety
  • Ronaldo was spotted riding in a luxurious Cadillac, with his security detail right behind him in a Range Rover

Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be taking his security and safety seriously, with two bodyguards tagging along on his way to training.

The veteran striker was among several Manchester United first-team players who took part in a training session on Tuesday, October 18, ahead of their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to The Sun, Ronaldo arrived for training in a luxurious Cadillac worth £150,000. While there was no one in the passenger's seat, he did have a whole security detail trailing him.

Photos of Ronaldo making his way to the Red Devils training base in Carrington showed twin brother bodyguards Sergio and Jorge Ramalheiro right behind him in a Range Rover.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has retained the services of the twin brothers to ensure his safety and that of his family for some time now.

SunSport reports that the two well-built men are part of a set of triplets, and are former crack soldiers who served in Afghanistan.

The two are said to have gone on to become part of a Portuguese police close protection unit entrusted with securing influential people.

Meanwhile, beyond Ronaldo's show stopping arrival, the forward will be hoping to make Erik ten Hag's starting XI when they play Tottenham on Wednesday night.

The 37-year-old has managed just two Premier League starts so far, with the latest coming during United's goalless draw with Newcastle last Sunday.

Ronaldo fumes after Newcastle sub

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo cut a dejected figure after he was subbed off in the second half of Man United's Premier League clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford.

The veteran striker was handed a rare Premier League start during the encounter, after Erik ten Hag named him in the starting XI.

However, the Portuguese, who recently became the first player in history to score 700 club goals, made little impact during the encounter on Sunday, October 16.
