Karim Benzema deservedly picked up the 2022 edition of the Ballon d'Or award held on Monday night.

The Real Madrid forward crowned a remarkable season with the highest individual accolade in football, at the colourful event staged at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.

The France international played a lead role in Madrid's route to a 14th Champions League, a 35th La Liga title and a 12th Supercopa de Espana crown last campaign.

He has begun the current season on the same tangent, scoring five goals in as many games played so far, including a goal against FC Barcelona in Sunday's El Clasico triumph.

What appears to be making the rounds on the internet though is the affection and support he received at the awards from the women of his life.

Benzema invited his mum on stage to share in his glory. However, photos which have emerged on social media show the 34-year-old's mum was not the only woman to have thronged the august occasion to support him.

His partner Cora Gauthier, whom the Madrid talisman has a child, with was present at the awards along with his model girlfriend Jordan Ozuna.

Cora is a young French woman. She and the Real Madrid striker were married five years ago, in 2017, MARCA reports.

Benzema and the adorable Cora both strive to keep their relationship in private, to avoid the spotlight.

Karim Benzema is reportedly dating American model Jordan Ozuna, who used to work as a Las Vegas waitress, the Sun reports.

The 32-year-old has used her incredible figure to help promote State Management, Caroline Gleason Management, Tricia Brink Management and The Salt Agency.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Karim Benzema shared his crowning moment as the 2022 Ballon d'Or recipient with his mother and son.

Benzema became the fifth French player to clinch the coveted individual diadem ahead of competition from Robert Lewandowski, Sadio Mane and Kevin De Bruyne.

The 34-year-old France international enjoyed a stunning 2021-22 campaign, scoring 44 goals in 46 games across all competitions.
