Liverpool star Diogo Jota has opened up for the first time on his devastating muscle injury that ultimately ruled him out if the World Cup in Qatar,
On Tuesday, October 18, Jurgen Klopp confirmed the Portuguese star would not be able to represent his country in Qatar after sustaining a muscle injury in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Manchester City.
Klopp explained that it is a case of months on the sidelines for Jota, with the World Cup less than five weeks away.
Jota was withdrawn from the game against Manchester City deep in the second half in a stretcher in the latest blow to the Wolves star, who has battled a series of injuries this season.

Taking to social media after the disappointing news, Jota gave fans a glimpse of what was on his mind, tweeting:
“After such a good night at Anfield mine ended in the worst way! In the last minute one of my dreams collapsed.”
“I will be one more supporting from the outside, club and country, and fighting to be back as soon as possible.”
The only comforting news for Jota amid a devastating period is the fact that he will not have to undergo any surgery after his latest setback.
From a Liverpool perspective, Jota’s absence greatly reduces Liverpool’s options in the squad amid what is already proving to be a tough season.
