Nigeria finished second in Group B following their 2-1 win over Chile on Monday afternoon in Bhubaneswar.
Needing a win to ensure they progressed from the group stage, Blessing Emmanuel and Bisola Mosaku were on target for the west Africans in the game.
On the other hand, the United States sealed the top spot in Group A after a comprehensive 4-0 drubbing of Morocco on Monday.

TheUnited States won two games and drew one in the group.
Brazil finished second in Group A and will face Germany in another quarter-final fixture.
How Nigeria defeated Chile
The Flamingos beat Chile 2-1 in their final group game at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Monday afternoon, October 17.
The Nigerian girls started the match aggressively, looking for an early goal, and they had to wait for only four minutes to get the breakthrough through Blessing Emmanuel.
The Flamingos scored their second goal in the 82nd minute through Bisola Mosaku.
In the 86th minute however, Nigerian defender Edafe handled the ball in the box.
The referee awarded Chile a penalty which was scored by Tali - and that was how it ended with the score at 2-1.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Asisat Oshoala was ranked 16th best at the 2022 women’s Ballon d’Or Feminin. The ceremony was held in the French capital of Paris on Monday night, October 17.
