Former Super Falcons gaffer Godwin Izilein has claimed that foreign coaches managing Nigerian national teams are only in the country for their retirement benefits.

Jose Peseiro is currently the gaffer of the Super Eagles after replacing Austine Eguavoen who steered the Nigerian team to the last African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Due to how the Super Eagles were beaten in the knockout stage, the Nigerian Football Federation chiefs then decided to hire Peseiro.

''What programme does Jose Peseiro have for football development in the country? The coach and the players in diaspora have nothing to offer the country. I will urge the administrators to look towards the home league for hungry players.”

Rufai tells goalkeeper Uzoho what next

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peter Rufai urged Francis Uzoho to replicate his superb performance against Manchester United in the Super Eagles colours.

Uzoho has been trending on social media since Thursday night, 13 October, following his brilliant display against Manchester United in the Europa League.

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo and Rashford's efforts to find the back the back of the net, the Nigerian goalkeeper denied them from scoring at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils, however waited until 90+3 minutes before scoring their winning goal against Omonia through Scott McTominay.

McTominay's goal was a painful one for Uzoho who made 12 saves against Manchester United, but the Nigerian still had his head up after the encounter.
