It’s all systems go for the first El Clasico of the season, and Robert Lewandowski is particularly pumped up for it.
The Barcelona forward will be competing in his first competitive El Clasico since joining the Spanish side from Bayern Munich in July.
Speaking ahead of the game, Lewandowski admitted the team needed to bounce back after their disappointing draw against Inter Milan. Lewandowski scored twice as he dragged Barcelona to a draw in the game. The draw practically ended Barcelona’s chances of qualifying for the Round of 16.
Now with a renewed focus on the La Liga campaign, Lewandowski urged his Barca teammates to change the mentality for the game ahead, Barca Universal reported.

“After a bad game, you have to face reality in the best possible way. Show that you can play good football and win,” said the Poland international.
He added that the Clasico would be a huge challenge but that it gave the team a chance to change their mentality and that of the team.
Has Lewandowski scored against Madrid?
Lewandowski has come against Los Blancos in eight competitive games thus far, netting six times against them, Football Transfers reported. Five of those goals came while he was still a Borussia Dortmund player. Arguably his best performance against the La Liga champions came in 2014 when Dortmund won 4-1, with the Polish striker scoring all four goals.
