Angel Di Maria was reduced to tears on Tuesday night, October 11, after he was forced off while in action for Juventus against Maccabi Haifa.

The Argentine forward was named in Juve's starting XI for their fourth Group H fixture staged at Sammy Ofer Stadium. However, he could not see through the rest of the match after suffering what appeared to be a muscular injury.

In a video doing rounds on social media, the midfielder can be seen running after a pass in midfield just 24 minutes into the match, when he suddenly pulls up and clutches the back of his right thigh.

The winger was subsequently withdrawn and replaced by Arkadiusz Milik.

However, his pain after the latest injury setback was written all over his face, with the 34-year-old seen shaking his head with sadness.

Juventus stunned 2-0 by Maccabi Haifa in tough Champions League clash

Meanwhile, Juve's poor run of form rolled over to the continental stage as they suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Maccabi Haifa.

Omer Atzili's double in the first half was enough to earn the Israeli side their first win in the Champions League.

The 29-year-old needed just seven minutes to score the opener for the hosts before he doubled the advantage minutes before the break.

Antonio Conte rubbishes rumuors linking him with Juventus

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte laughing off rumours linking him to a return to Juventus.
