“Lewandowski, Benzema and Haaland are the best strikers in the world. They have the most goal scoring ability and contribute the most to their teams,” he said.
He added that Lewandowski was a great signing for La Liga and was already showing his quality, but hoped that Benzema would win the goal scoring battle between the two.
Lewandowski is in fine form in La Liga this season, having scored nine goals in eight appearances in La Liga. Benzema has scored three goals in five games, but has been out of action due to an injury suffered at the beginning of September.
Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema has been widely tipped to win the 2022 Ballon d’Or award by teammate David Alaba, following the Frenchman’s superb 2021/22 campaign.
