FootballN’Golo Kante: Graham Potter Announces Chelsea Midfielder Has Suffered Another Injury Setback
- Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has disclosed that N'Golo Kante has picked up a minor issue in his recovery from a hamstring problem
- Kante had already resumed training and was expected to be available for Chelsea, but this latest setback casts doubt on his involvement in the near future
- The midfielder picked up the injury during Chelsea's first home game of the season against Tottenham Hotspur
N'Golo Kante has suffered another injury setback in his pursuit to recover from a hamstring issue. Kante has been out for over 6 weeks, after picking up the problem during Chelsea's stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur on August 14.
The midfielder had put in an energetic performance before going down in the latter stages of the game.
Chelsea fans and technical staff were happy to see the maestro resume light training last week but Head Coach, Graham Potter has revealed that he has suffered a setback.
Potter had expected to use Kante for the first time since his appointment as Chelsea boss, but the Frenchman missed the trip to Milan.

Speaking to the press ahead of their Champions League clash against Milan, Potter said:
"N'Golo, we're just waiting for his reaction from his training. It is certainly not ideal, so we will have to wait and see the extent of it and go from there. It's not ideal and it is disappointing for him and for us," he stated as quoted by Goal.
These constant injuries will do the 31-year-old no favours in his pursuit of a longer contract extension from Chelsea. He has expressed his desire to remain at the club, but the hierarchy might be tempted to offload him.
Wesley Fofana picked up a nasty-looking injury during Chelsea's win over AC Milan
Former England manager Fabio Capello slams Kalidou Koulibaly's slow start at Chelsea
FootballSports Brief had earlier reported that Chelsea's 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League last week came at a great cost - an injury to Wesley Fofana.
The defender, who joined the Blues this past summer, had to leave the pitch after 35 minutes after he was fouled by Milan's Rafael Leao. He broke down in tears after his substitution, evidence that the injury could be bad.
The 21-year-old Frenchman opened the scoring for Graham Potter's men and was on course to produce a man-of-the-match performance. Fofana was signed from Leicester City this past summer for £75 million.
