Inaki Williams has disclosed that he was left heartbroken after Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty that could have sent Ghana through to the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup.
A young Williams followed the exploits of Ghana at the competition due to his parents heritage.
Twelve years down the lane, Williams, who was born in Spain decided to represent Ghana, and memories of the 2010 World Cup remain fresh on his mind.
“When Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty against Uruguay I was very sad because I lived that World Cup a lot, very involved with Ghana,” Williams told Marca as quoted by Pulse.

The 28-year-old made his Ghana debut against Brazil last month and was part of the team for the friendly against Nicaragua.
The Athletic Bilbao star is expected to lead Ghana's attack at the World Cup in Qatar in November.
Williams could the get the opportunity to avenge Gyan's miss when the Black Stars play Uruguay in the final Group H game in Qatar.
The four-time African champions will also play Portugal and South Korea in the same group.
The World Cup in South Africa remains Ghana's best performance at the Mundial, after making it to the quarter-finals.
