Bayern Munich could be without the services of Alphonso Davies for their next fixture after the defender was injured during the game against Borussia Dortmund.
The Canadian star was taken off before halftime in the game after he took a boot to the face from Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham raised his boot to flick the ball over Davies, unaware that the Canadian star had his head low. Bellingham missed the ball and connected with Davies’ face instead.
Davies was treated on the field but still appeared to be unsteady. He was helped off the field, with Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann mentioning after the game that they believed the player had a concussion.

Medical scans were conducted following the game, and results found that Davies sustained a cranial bruise. While Davies was feeling good following the incident, he did sit out the club’s training session the following day, Daily Mail reported.
Davies took to social media as well to reassure fans that he was doing well and couldn’t wait to return to the playing field.
Bellingham also took to social media to apologise for the incident and reiterate that he would never want to hurt a fellow competitor. He also wished Davies a speedy recovery.
Bayern next face Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League and will already be without the services of Jamal Musiala.

The 19-year-old English midfielder had hit Davies in the face with his boots, forcing the Bayern Munich defender to be forced off at half-time in the 2-2 draw at Signal Iduna Park.
Davies was suspected to have a concussion after the incident and Bellingham has now apologized to the Bayern Munich defender, Sports Brief earlier reported.
