Diego Costa was left emotional after receiving a rousing standing ovation from Chelsea fans on his return to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea fans have fond memories of Costa, 35, who won two Premier League titles and a Golden boot during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Having signed for Wolves in a short-term deal, Costa was handed a first start, with Wolves interim boss Steve Davis hoping the veteran could inflict damage on his former side.
That did not happen, however, and Costa was taken off in the 57th minute.

Despite failing to make an impact in the game, Costa will surely have been grateful for the reception he received from Chelsea fans as he walked off the pitch.
By the time he was being taken off, the game was practically out of Wolves’ reach as the Blues had established a 2-0 lead.
How the game went
As far as the game was concerned, Chelsea were always the favourites going into it.
Kai Havertz got his side’s first goal as the game was heading towards halftime, with Christian Pulisic doubling the lead after a brilliant one-two with Mason Mount.
Armando Broja then got his first goal in Chelsea colours with a decent strike late on.
