  • Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has said four Arsenal players have impressed him this season
  • Henry said Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Granit Xhaka have done well this term
  • Henry, Arsenal's all-time top scorer with 228 goals, was reluctant to call the Gunners title contenders

Arsenal's all-time top scorer Thierry Henry has revealed that Gabriel Jesus, William Saliba, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Granit Xhaka have impressed him under Mikel Arteta this season.

The Gunners have started this season brilliantly, winning seven of their eight league games. On Saturday, they registered their biggest win in the league, a convincing 3-1 win over arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal have been touted as potential title winners this season and have so far lived up to the hype. A painful 3-1 loss to Manchester United is their only defeat this term.

Henry, who played for Arsenal from 1999 to 2007, named Jesus, Saliba, Zinchenko and Xhaka as players who've made a good impression on him this season, according to the Mirror.

Jesus, Saliba and Zinchenko are playing in their first season in an Arsenal shirt, but Xhaka has excellently turned a corner after reports linked him to an exit.

Thierry Henry impressed with Arsenal's performances

Henry said the win over Tottenham was great, but the performance was even better.

"But what I like with the Arsenal team right now is that it’s a different team. If you talk about something that’s important, it’s a different team."
"Gabriel Jesus is really changing, not only him. Saliba at the back allows them to play in a back four, so Mikel goes into what Pep does also with City with Zinchenko. Xhaka is playing way better. That’s what I was more impressed with than the result because that's what happens all the time."

Arsenal remains top of the Premier League table and will face an unremarkable Liverpool side this weekend at home. However, the Gunners' record versus the Reds is dismal.

They have beaten Jurgen Klopp's side once in 10 games, but this season's stats point to a good Arsenal showing, according to Soccerway.

Cesc Fabregas skeptical about Arsenal's Premier League success

Sports Brief earlier reported on former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas highlighting one crucial component that could hamper Premier League success this season.

The World Cup-winning Spaniard said Arsenal's involvement in the Europa League could dent their chances in the league. Fabregas said Europe's secondary competition schedule will get tough for them.
