Manchester United are reportedly ready to part ways with Cristiano Ronaldo in January.

Apart from getting relegated to the bench, the forward has found it difficult to find the back of the net whenever he is called upon.

His struggles culminated into a snub by Erik ten Hag during the Manchester derby, with the Portuguese left warming the bench the entire match.

Man United open to selling Ronaldo in January

With the firmer Real Madrid star having a couple of months left on his current deal at Man United, The Telegraph claims the club would be open to letting him go in January.

According to the publication, club boss Erik ten Hag is ready to sanction his exit, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner also eyeing a January departure.

The Mirror claims the Portugal international hopes that a strong showing at the World Cup in Qatar this winter would tempt a top club to sign him.

Should the transfer come to fruition, the legendary star will say goodbye to United after less than 18 months since he rejoined them from Juventus.

Cameras capture Cristiano Ronaldo's frustrated reaction during the Manchester derby

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly upset and distraught at Manchester United’s first-half performance in the derby on Sunday, October 2. In a fairly one-sided game.

Phil Foden and Erling Haaland both bagged hat-tricks as the Premier League champions cruised to a 6-3 victory.

United had such a poor first half on the day that hundreds of fans resorted to leaving the stadium early after their team’s shambolic performance.
