According to the Mirror, Erik Ten Hag's first Manchester derby has been given a huge boost with the two forwards edging closer to action.
The Red Devils will take on Pep Guardiola's high-flying Manchester City in a highly anticipated encounter. United have won their last four Premier League games while their neighbours have won five of their first seven games.
Ten Hag's prayers answered
Speaking to the press, Ten Hag shared the positive news but did not confirm if the two stars would play.
"Anthony Martial but he was training all week with the group, performing really well, makes a good impression. Marcus Rashford he returns into training so we are happy with that."
Martial and Rashford are known for their devastating partnership upfront, and if they are fit for Sunday, United will provide a stern test for City.
Both stars have always performed better against City. The Frenchman has scored three goals against the Citizens while Rashford has netted four, according to transfermarkt.
