Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could be set for a return to boyhood club Atletico Madrid when the 2023 transfer window opens.
The La Liga giants are in search of a goalkeeper for next season, as speculations suggest current number one goalkeeper Jan Oblak is unsettled in the team.
According to 90MIN, Atletico Madrid has identified de Gea as an ideal replacement for the Serbian goalkeeper, who only recently penned a 6-year contract extension with the Madrid side.

De Gea is out of contract at the end of the current season at Manchester United, and so far, no decision has yet been made on his future by the Red Devils.
Manchester United has an option to trigger a year's extension to de Gea’s deal, although Atletico Madrid are pushing to lure the 31-year-old back to Spain.
