A Manchester City employee has paid tribute to manager Pep Guardiola for playing a role as she went being diagnosed with cancer to recovering in six months.
Erin, an employee with the hospitality section of Manchester City, was diagnosed with cancer in January 2022.
And when she thought her world was over, she got a surprised call from Guardiola which lifted her spirits at her most vulnerable moment.
In a video posted on social media, Erin narrated the process as she also revealed how the former Barcelona manager invited the doctors who took care of her for the match against Nottingham Forrest.

Erin has recovered and is back at work as she goes through her normal activities at the Etihad.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Former Manchester City player Fabian Delph has shocked the football fraternity after announcing his retirement from the game aged only 32.
Delph made the announcement on social media on Tuesday, September 27, just weeks after his contract with Everton ran out.
He started his career at Leeds United in the Championship, before eventually going on to make 204 Premier League appearances for Everton, Manchester City and Aston Villa.
