Cantona joined the Red Devils in 1992 from Leeds United, with the Elland Road-based club opting to cash in on him due to his temperamental issues.

However, despite his temper issues, Sir Alex Ferguson took a risk and signed the Frenchman in a £1.2m deal.

Incredibly, Cantona went on to have a successful career with United, winning the Premier League on four occasions during his five-year spell with the club.

The former France international went on to announce his retirement from football aged just 30 years.

Eric Cantona says he envies Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini

According to Cantona, he gets bored easily, which is why he adores Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini for their longevity at Man United and AC Milan respectively.

Both Giggs and Maldini never switched clubs during their football careers, with the former playing for United for 24 years.

"I admire Ryan Giggs or Paolo Maldini, who played in the same club for 20 years as a professional," Cantona told The Athletic.

"I admire them because me I cannot do it, I get bored very quickly, maybe because I have other passions," he added.

Ryan Giggs makes confession about his relationship

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has told a court that he is a ‘flirt by nature' and has never been faithful in his relationships.

Giggs’ defence presented evidence to court recently as he continues to battle an assault case on his ex Kate Greville.

The 48-year-old denied all charges but confessed to stepping out of his relationships and lying to his partners.
