His comments come on the backdrop of Neymar's strange reaction when he was asked to comment about his relationship with Mbappe.

The two stars have been involved in a scuffle inside the PSG dressing that escalated after a disputed penalty call.

Daily Mail reports that Paredes has also waded into the tiff by claiming he didn't share anything special with Mbappe.

I am not the one to talk about him. I had a connection with the ones I had a relationship with. But the ones I didn't have a relationship with, I can't tell you about them.

Paredes, who has since joined Juventus on loan, was a regular member of Mauricio Pochettino's side before new coach Christophe Galtier decided to move him on.

Lionel Messi claims Kylian Mbappe has all it takes to be the best footballer

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Lionel Messi had backed his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe to become one of the best players in the world in future. Mbappe has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in recent years, with many backing him to take the place of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

For 15 years, both Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the best-player-in-the-world debate, with the duo redefining football as we all know it. With 12 Ballon d'Or awards between them, they have significantly raised the bar to incomprehensible heights - thanks to their individual successes and longevity.

But at 34 and 37 years old, they have undoubtedly entered the sunset years of their illustrious football careers, a situation that is expected to usher in a new crop of football stars. Lionel Messi knows this too well. According to the Argentine football star, Mbappe is destined to successfully take over as one of the world's finest football superstars.
