Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been tipped to replace Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Italian-born tactician recently parted ways with Inter Milan on mutual agreement despite helping them win their first Serie A title in a decade.

He was said to have disagreed with the San Siro outfit over their decision to sell off some of the players to reduce the club's expenses.

The 51-year-old is now at an advanced stage of becoming Spurs' new boss which could see him being a joint-second highest-paid boss in the Premier League if the deal is sealed according to SunSport quoting The Mirror and Daily Mail.

Sources claim Conte could earn as much as £15m-a-year - in addition to funds to buy players in the transfer market.

Tottenham owner Levy is confident of stopping Harry Kane from leaving - a player Conte is looking forward to working with.

The publications reveal that only Pep Guardiola (£20m per season) would earn more than the former Chelsea handler in the Premier League if he decides to join the North Londoners.

Meanwhile, Conte and Jurgen Klopp will be tied on a £15m-a-year salary should the Italian return to the EPL.

Brendan Rodgers who led Leicester City to FA Cup glory in the recently concluded season earns up to £10m-a-year, while Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa reportedly earns more than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Thomas Tuchel.

Bielsa is said to be on £8m-a-year salary and Man United's Solskjaer takes home £7.5m-a-season.

While Tuchel, who albeit is set for a new deal after winning the Champions League, pockets £7m-a-year from Chelsea.

Tottenham speaking with Antonio Conte to become their next manager

Legit.ng earlier reported that Antonio Conte is in advanced talks with Premier League club Tottenham as he looks to become their new manager.

Spurs have been without a boss since the sacking of Jose Mourinho and former player Curtis Davies took over as caretaker coach.

On the other hand, Conte resigned barely days after winning the Scudetto with Inter following a disagreement with club president Steven Zhang.
