William Troost-Ekong has explained that he and his teammates in the Super Eagles squad will be going for a win against the Algerian national team this coming Tuesday in big friendly.
The Super Eagles and Algerian national team have been rivals as far as African football is concerned and both nation will want to go for win in this coming international duel.
This friendly match for the Super Eagles was put in place by the Nigerian Football Federation so as for the Nigerian players to prepare themselves for the coming assignments in the AFCON qualifiers.
Already, the three-time African champions won't be participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after losing the play-offs against the Black Stars of Ghana.

According to the report on GOAL, William Troost-Ekong who stands in for Ahmed Musa as captain explained that the Super Eagles will improve on many areas against Algeria.

"We want to try and win all the games and improve in all areas.
"We are playing against Algeria, one of the top teams in Africa. We have to show them respect, but at the same time, even though it's a friendly game, we will try and win the game and prepare ourselves for the qualifiers that will be coming up next."

FootballSuper Eagles Star Wilfred Ndidi Calls Out Journalist Over Fake Injury Claim
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi debunked claims that he left the Super Eagles camp for reasons best known to him.
The Nigeria Football Federation had disclosed that the player left the camp ahead of their game against Algeria due to injury.
Ndidi will not be part of the game as the 25-year-old returned to his base in England, but journalist Sulaiman Folarin claimed the player left in anger.
According to the reporter, Ndidi was at loggerheads with Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro over the position he would play against the Desert Warriors.
It is obvious Ndidi was unimpressed with such claims as the Nigerian international replied to the tweet.
