Jose Peseiro who is the gaffer of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has reiterated once again that his target is to help Nigeria win the African Cup of Nations which they last won in 2013.
Late Stephen Keshi was the gaffer of the Super Eagles the last time Nigeria won the African Cup of Nations in South Africa and since then, the West African nation have not reached the final.
At the last African Cup of Nations, coach Austin Eguavoen and his wards got the knockout stages before they were defeated by Tunisia.
The defeat was a painful one for Nigerians who were actually expecting the Super Eagles to reach the final of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Nigeria also failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which made the Nigerian Football Federation to hire Portuguese tactician Jose Peseiro as the new coach.

And according to the report on Soccernet, Jose Peseiro explained that he has good players who can make Nigerians happy by winning the African Cup of Nation.

“I repeat I want to win the next AFCON and for that we need to improve our national team, we need to improve our dynamics, we need to improve our organization in and outside the field.
“You need to create connection with the players, create a relationship inside and outside the field for the players to build a great national team so that’s our goal.''
