  • Zinédine Zidane's elegance on the pitch made him one of the most outstanding players of his generation but it's his elegance off the field that saved him from crashing
  • The former Real Madrid coach had to deploy a Judo-like stunt to avoid crashing on the floor when he fell trying to ride a horse
  • Currently unattached, Zidane has been widely linked with a number of high-profile managerial jobs including the French national team

In the said video, seen by Sports Brief, Zidane who was clad in an all-black outfit tried to ride a horse but unfortunately, it appeared the horse lost its balance.

The imbalanced position of the horse inadvertently led to the fall of the 1998 World Cup winner, however, it was his composure and technique to roll from the floor to avoid a heaving landing that has won the hearts of many.

Below are some of the comments on social media:

Former Japanese international Keisuke Honda with the username @kskgroup2017 applauded Zidane's skill as he fell:

"Wow, that's a very important skill for football."

Another user @KiyanSo saluted the elegance of Zidane:

"This man moves with elegance probably even when he brushes his teeth."

@SiphosethuTwal1 tweeted:

"With a smile on his face, which is typical of Zidane."

@spycho80 reckoned Zidane might have taken his judo lessons seriously:

"I assume Zidane has practised/ practise martial arts, like Judo or Aikido, because this is a good example of mae ukemi (front fall)."

Ex-Real Madrid boss opens up about potential return to coaching

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Zinedine Zidane has hinted he would love to coach the France national team when he returns to football management.

The former Real Madrid boss has been out of management for more than a year after he quit his role at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the 50-year-old recently opened up about his desire to make a return to the dugout, insisting that that has always been his passion.
