Kevin De Bruyne once gave an interesting but brilliant answer when asked who he would prefer playing alongside between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The Belgian international has come up against both players, albeit in different stages, in his career.
As far as Ronaldo is concerned, De Bruyne could come up against him as early as October 2022 in the Manchester derby.
While both Ronaldo and Messi are super talented in their own respects, De Bruyne says he prefers to have Ronaldo as a teammate.

This, according to the 31-year-old, is for the simple fact that Ronaldo is more of a striker, while Messi has similar qualities to the Belgian in terms of playmaking.
"I would probably say Ronaldo because he’s more of a typical striker," "Messi is still more of a playmaker. De Bruyne said on Entertainment Arena's Youtube channel.
"I am a playmaker, you can give me a striker."
How Ronaldo and Messi are doing this season
Messi and Ronaldo have been experiencing contrasting fortunes on an individual level so far this season.
While the Argentine has thrived for PSG, notching four goals and seven assists, Ronaldo has only found the net once, on the penalty spot this campaign.
His goal came against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League as United secured their first win in the competition this season.
