However, one player he failed to win over was Pulisic, with the American international openly admitting he was not the biggest fan of Tuchel.
Pulisic laid bare his relationship with the former Paris Saint-Germain boss, revealing the genesis of his fallout with the tactician.
The forward reflected on one specific situation where Tuchel benched him despite being in good shape in the run up to the match.
According to the 24-year-old, the manager had promised to play him, only for him to inform him that he had changed his mind and would be playing Kai Havertz.
The former Dortmund ace revealed Tuchel's change of mind left him broken and disappointed.
"I honestly was dumbfounded and very disappointed. I thought that I’d earned a start and, most importantly, he had assured me previously I was going to start," Pulisic wrote in his book Christian Pulisic: My Journey So Far.
