Member of Qatar royal family Khalid Faleh al Thani has reportedly initiated a process that would see him purchase Serie A outfit Sampdoria.
Al Thani, is associated with Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) who already own French giants PSG and are hoping to add the second European club to their fold.

Qatar royal family member 'ready to buy' Sampdoria
Al Thani is ready to splash the cash and acquire a slumbering giant of Italian football, Sampdoria, according to news agency, ANSA. The agency reports that their is a confirmation that negotiators are working on a deal.
Film producer Francesco Di Silvio and ex-player Ivano Bonetti are said to be heavily involved in a potential deal. In a letter obtained by ANSA, al Thani said he would like to own the club.
