Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has become a first-time father after his wife reportedly gave birth to a newborn baby last week.

Rima Edbouche, who the Frenchman got married to in December last year, welcomed a baby girl in the late hours of Friday, September 16.

According to Spanish journalist Helena Condis Edo, 25-year-old Dembele was present at the birth and has seen his daughter every day since.

"Welcome Sweetheart" Dembele's wife wrote and pinned a picture of the newborn daughter's cute little hand on Instagram.

Despite spending the whole night in hospital, Dembele started and played 60 minutes in Barcelona's 3-0 thrashing of Elche at the Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday Afternoon.
