  • Manchester City will go into the international break at the back of an important win over Wolves
  • Haaland was on target for yet another game as the Ctiizens saw off the hosts 3-0 at the Molineaux
  • Wolves had to play a large chunk of the game with 10 men after the dismissal of Nathan Collins for a dangerous tackle on Grealish

Manchester City climbed to the top of the table thanks to another comprehensive performance as they saw off the 10-men of Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0.

Pep Guardiola’s side were overwhelming favorites for this game and they lived up to expectations thanks to goals from Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

There were early signs that City would run away with the game as Jack Grealish found the opener in the first minute after connecting with De Bruyne’s low cross.

Coming from the back of a grueling game against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, it was clear City were not at full gear, but their superiority in quality was evident.

In the 16th minute, Haaland found his 11th goal in seven games, this time making a powerful run before firing a low shot past the Wolves keeper from just outside the box.

Wolves orchestrated their own woes as things went from bad to worse for Bruno Lage’s side after Nathan Collins was shown a straight red card for catching Jack Grealish in his midriff. With the hosts down to 10 men, the game was all but ended as a contest.

City eased up in the second half, with Wolves coming out as a much improved side, but failed to find a goal as Goncalo Guedes wasted a decent opening.

With 20 minutes to go, Phil Foden found his team’s third after cleverly guiding De Bruyne’s cross past Jose Sa.
