Atletico Madrid captain Koke has warned Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior to think twice about his samba dance celebration when both teams meet on Sunday.

Vinicius is enjoying an inspiring start to the 2022/23 season, notching five goals and providing three assists in eight games across all competitions for the Los Blancos.

The Brazil international's last goal in La Liga came against Real Mallorca last Sunday, and the 22-year-old pulled off a little Samba dance while celebrating.

And ahead of the Madrid derby this weekend, Koke has fired shots at Vini Junior, saying the winger will be in trouble if he breaks out his trademark post-goal antics.

“At the end of the day if he scores a goal and decides to dance it’s his call. To each his own and everyone celebrates the way he likes,” said Koke, as cited by Madrid Xtra.

“There would be trouble for sure, it’s normal,” added the midfielder.

The Rojiblancos are not enjoying a particularly dazzling start to the 2022/23 season, languishing at 7th spot on the La Liga table.

They came off a 2-0 defeat at the hands of struggling Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League in mid week.

Leverkusen are currently in the relegation zone of Bundesliga at the moment.
