Olympiacos' new signing Marcelo Vieira took part in training for the first time with his teammates on Thursday.

The 34-year-old sealed a switch to the Greek giants on a one-year deal in the summer transfer window on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid.

The Brazil international has started preparations with the Piraeus outfit ahead of the Greece Super League clash against Aris at the Stadio Harilaou Kleánthis Vikelídis on Sunday.

The legendary left-back reported for his first light training a day after the club officially announced his signing.

In a post on Instagram, Marcelo captioned: Counting the days to be with the team⚪We keep working hard!

Marcelo was left out for the Olympiacos roster that faced Freiburg at home in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night. They lost 3-0 to the German club.

Marcelo has not played a competitive game since featuring in Real Madrid's 0-0 stalemate against Real Betis on May 20.

He is the Los Blancos' most decorated player in their history, winning 25 titles.
