Paul Pogba's elder brother Mathias Pogba has been arrested by authorities after he turned himself in France. He becomes the fourth person to be taken into custody after three other people had been arrested by French authorities.

Mathias is embroiled in a family feud with his brother whom he has alleged uses witchcraft. Pogba vehemently denied those accusations and in turn accused his brother of being part of a ring that has been trying to extort him.

Pogba however backtracked and admitted that he indeed visited a witch doctor but not to cast a spell on Kylian Mbappe as had been alleged by his brother.

Get French Football News reports that authorities had taken over the case and this is seen as the first big step towards solving the case that has threatened to taint Pogba's image ahead of a major football tournament in November.

The former Manchester United star received a timely boost after Mbappe stated publicly that he was siding with him after listening to both parties.

Mathias Pogba, Paul's elder brother, earlier opened a can of worms about his younger sibling accusing the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner of being involved in witchcraft and casting a spell on France teammate Kylian Mbappé.

But Paul strongly denies calling on a witch doctor to cast a spell on the PSG forward, rather for the sake of a humanitarian organisation which helps children in Africa.
