The Super Eagles of Nigeria will file out against the Fennec Foxes of Algeria in an international friendly match slated for Oran on September 27.
Both countries will clash at the famous Miloud-Hadefi Olympic and assistant Super Eagles coach Finidi George says home-based players might not be part of the encounter.
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro is billed to announce his squad list for the fixture any time soon and NPFL players might not be considered.
They have been inactive for some months as the Nigerian local league is currently on a break. Finidi told Punch:

“Home-based players may not feature in the team for the friendly against Algeria because they just played in CHAN and will have to go for holidays.
“After their exit against Ghana, they went for a break, so I don’t think these home-based players will be involved for this friendly.
“Some of them are on holidays, and some teams have not resumed pre-season, so it’s going to be difficult.”
The Eagles will be without injured quartet Umar Sadiq, Akinkumi Amoo, Semi Ajayi and Victor Osimhen.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international Sadiq Umar has been spotted with crutches a day after he underwent an examination to determine the extent of his injury.
