Kamal Sowah netted his maiden goal in the UEFA Champions League to help Club Brugge to victory against 2005 European champions Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.

The 22-year-old scored Club Brugge's second goal of the game as the Belgium champions thrashed Porto 4-0 in Portugal.

In a video posted on social media, the versatile player pounced on Ferran Jutgla's pass to cleverly slot home for the visitors.

Sowah scored just two minutes after the break to add to Ferran Jutgla's first half penalty. Andreas Skov Olsen extended the lead five minutes later before Antonio Nusa put the icing on the cake with an 89th minute goal.

The Ghanaian winger rejoined Club Brugge in the summer transfer window after a loan spell in Holland with AZ Alkmaar, and has since been a regular member of the club.

He joined Club Brugge from Leicester City in the summer of 2021.

Kamal Sowah reacts after scoring first UEFA Champions League goal

Kamal Sowah has expressed delight after netting his maiden UEFA Champions League goal for Club Brugge.

"I scored my first ever goal for club and that's an incredible feeling and that happening in a Champions League match makes it even more special," he said as quoted by GHANASoccernet.
''Of course I am overjoyed with my goal, but I admit very well that this goal achieved through the preparatory work of my teammates.
''With this second win in a row we have tallied six points and that alone can be called a solid performance.
''I'm also very happy for all our traveling supporters who probably won't soon forget this trip.''

Kamal Sowah named in Club Brugge's UEFA Champions League team

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian youngster, Kamal Sowah, has been named in Club Brugge's 21-man squad to face Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League Group A opener.

The 21-year-old joined the Belgium champions in the summer transfer window from Leicester City and served an assist on his debut against KV Oostende.

In a list released by club on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the Right to Dream Academy graduate was named in the team and should start against PSG.
