The president of Rayo Vallecano Raul Martin Presa has confirmed he was brutally assaulted by the agent of Espanyol forward Raul de Tomas during recent transfer negotiations.
The Spanish La Liga outfit undertook conversations with the agent of De Tomas, Ivan Garcia, regarding a move for the Spain international during the summer transfer market.
But it appears things got heated as the club president has claimed he was attacked and hospitalised during the meeting.
Presa confirmed the incident to Spanish publication COPE quoted by Goal.

"It was a completely unexpected headbutt," he said. "It was the action of criminal, a very cowardly action and a very sh*tty action. Because if he gives me a warning, then we fight."
According to a report filed by Tribalfootball, the pair engaged in an argument over commissions for the agents.
De Tomas was on the verge of an exit from Espanyol last summer. He was linked with a return to his former club Real Madrid to deputise Karim Benzema in the striking role.
English Premier League giants Manchester United were even reported to be interested in the Real Madrid academy graduate.
However, the 27-year-old has since remained ta Espanyol after a move failed to materialise before the window closed last week.
De Tomas signed a six-year contract for the Catalonia club in 2020 after one year stint with Portuguese powerhouse Benfica.

The forward has made four appearances for the Spain national team. He won his first cap during La Roja's 2022 World Cup qualifier against Greece.
Rayo Vallecano Manager Andoni Iraola Threatens to Resign if Spanish Club Sign Diego Costa This Summer
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Rayo Vallecano manager coach Andoni Iraola is threatening to resign if the club signs former Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Iraola has been a huge part of the club’s success over the past few years but has now fallen out without the club’s president over Costa’s signing.
President Raul Martin Presa struck a deal with Costa to join the club but never consulted Iraola about the signing. Iraola isn’t happy about the decision and is now threatening to leave the club if Costa joins.
