  • United States coach Gregg Berhalter that Thomas Tuchel’s sacking at Chelsea could be considered “positive” for Christian Pulisic
  • Pulisic's game time has shrunk drastically under Thomas Tuchel partly due to injuries, lack of form and trust from the manager
  • But Berhalter claims the exit of Tuchel is a blessing in disguise for the US men's national team captain

The United States men's national team head coach, Gregg Berhalter claims Thomas Tuchel's sacking at Chelsea could be considered positive for Christian Pulisic.

Tuchel was ruthlessly shown the exit door on Wednesday morning after his side continued their slow start to the season in Europe - losing by a lone goal against Dinamo Zagreb.

Playing players out of position and the lack of game time for promising players were among many factors which led to the German's dismissal.

But following the dismissal of Tuchel and the appointment of Graham Potter as new Chelsea boss, Berhalter believes Pulisic could get more game time under the new manager.

“I’m not happy a guy lost his job. But if this means more opportunity for Christian, then it’s positive because he’s a guy that’s proven that he can perform at that level. We’ll just have to wait and see.” The American head coach said via GOAL.

Pulisic will hope to rope in more minutes under Graham Potter starting from Wednesday, September 14 when the Blues host Red Bull Salzburg at Stamford Bridge

Thomas Tuchel finally opens up after ruthless Chelsea sack

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Thomas Tuchel has broken his silence following his brutal sack as Chelsea boss.
