The La Liga match between Cadiz and Barcelona on Saturday evening was halted after a fan suffered a cardiac arrest and lost consciousness at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.
The unfortunate incident occurred with around eight minutes of normal time to play.
The match was stopped for close to 20 minutes as the stadium fell silent after the incident.
Minutes after the game restarted, Ansu Fati put the ball at the back of the net to make the score 3-0 in favour of Barcelona.

As he celebrated the goal, the 19-year-old was spotted apologizing to the home fans with a gesture that shows a sign of respect.
Fati clearly didn't want to be on the bad side of the home crowd even more after they saw one fan fainted and receive first aid.
After the game, the La Masia product took to Instagram to share a touching message to the Cadiz fan.
He wrote: "Football was the least important thing today. I hope the fan is okay and I dedicate my goal to him and his family," the Barcelona player has written on Instagram.
France international Ousmane Dembele scored Barcelona's fourth and last goal on the evening, and he didn't celebrate that much either.
