Bayer Leverkusen will feel cheated following the Bundesliga side’s 1-0 loss to Belgian side, Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League o Wednesday, September 7.

Abakar Sylla’s 42nd-minute goal for the home side was the difference between both teams despite Leverkusen dominating most of the game.

Patrik Schick thought he had drawn Bayer Leverkusen level in the 73rd minute but his effort was ridiculously disallowed by VAR following a review from UEFA’s new automated offside technology.

The decision from VAR has led to many fans criticizing the new technology as many fans believe the goal for the Bundesliga team should have stood.

Another fan felt the decision to disallow the goal was a joke.

Bayer Leverkusen supporters were obviously displeased with the decision from the officials.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen manager, Gerardo Seoane says his side did not get the reward their efforts deserved following their loss to Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League.

Seoane revealed that the 1-0 defeat hurts and that his team feels very disappointed with the result in the group B opener.

Bayer Leverkusen lay bottom of the group after the loss, amassing no points and are behind Atletico Madrid and Club Brugge who both have 3 points.

Bayer Leverkusen sign Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bayer Leverkusen has signed Callum Hudson-Odoi on a season-long loan from Premier League club Chelsea.

The winger, who has played 126 times for Chelsea after coming up through the club's academy, arrived in Leverkusen on Monday morning for a medical.

Hudson-Odoi, who has three England caps, has been a bit-part player under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and wants to play more regularly ahead of the World Cup in November.
