Ghanaian referee Charles Bulu was involved in an unfortunate incident as he officiated an Afcon qualifier between Ivory Coast and Ethiopia.

Bulu who was the centre referee for the match collapsed around the 80th minute of the match when Ivory Coast was leading 3-1.

It is not known what went wrong with Bulu, but he was stretched off the field after he failed to stay on his feet.

After Bulu was stretched off, the match was called off because the fourth official was from Ivory Coast.

Ghanaian sports journalist Gary Al-Smith shared a photo of the sad incident on social media. The photo had the referee lying down on the field.

The development has been confirmed by the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) who revealed that a CAF decision was expected to follow in due course.

"The game has been cancelled. The referee has been taken to hospital because he fell sick and fell on the field. CAF decision is expected," a statement on the EFF's website read.

Despite the non-completion of their match, both Ivory Coast and Ethiopia have qualified for Afcon 21 after the other group match between Niger and Madagascar ended goalless.

In other news, a sachet (pure) water seller in Kumasi has received praise for a selfless gesture she did.

The young lady turned herself into a traffic conductor at the Top High intersection.

This was after the traffic light at the intersection which is on the Accra-Kumasi Highway went off.

Ghanaians have been praising the lady and have even suggested that she be employed as a police officer.
