Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has slammed players who move to the Premier League for money alone after Casemiro joined Manchester United.
The 32-year-old was named Man of the Match in the Los Blancos' 3-0 win over Celtic on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League.
The legendary midfielder played a key last season as the La Liga giants secured Champions League victory, beating Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool along the way to glory.
Despite the Premier League clubs investing heavily, particularly this year, Kroos believes that English teams have underperformed in Europe.

"TV money has been significantly higher in England for years and yet it hasn't resulted in English teams winning everything," he told the OMR podcast, quoted by Daily Mail.
"Thank God not all players look only at salary but also at winning many titles and to grow more."

Kroos' former teammate, Casemiro, won five Champions Leagues alongside the German but chose to join Manchester United last summer for a reported transfer fee of £70 million after being offered a salary in the region of £300,000-a-week in August.
In the recently ended summer transfer window, Premier League clubs spent more than the other top four European leagues after enjoying a record-breaking deals after spending a total of £1.9 billion.
